L Series is a personal animation project that explores the journey of life through three short films.
While each film tells an independent story, the protagonists represent different stages of life—adolescence, young adulthood, and middle age—with walking as a central motif.

  • BARAM shows a protagonist who runs aimlessly, without direction or purpose, reflecting the uncertainty and restlessness of youth.

  • This is Not Reproduced depicts a character who has found a goal but remains stuck in place, symbolizing struggles of young adulthood.

  • A Fish and the Man presents a protagonist who walks forward at a steady pace, finally stopping at the right destination, capturing the acceptance and clarity that come with age.

Through these films, L Series expresses the emotional experiences and transformations we go through in life, using movement as a metaphor for personal growth.

Baram means both wind and hope in Korean.
This short film takes an abstract approach to exploring the emotions of adolescence, using movement and symbolism to reflect feelings of growth, freedom, frustration, change, confidence, and love. It captures the restless energy and fleeting moments that define youth.

This is not reproduced poses a question to everyone: What is life, and what are we really living for? What do we truly want? Inspired by surrealist painter René Magritte’s 'Not to be Reproduced', This film reflects on the idea that our lives, too, cannot be reproduced. We each only get one.
So instead of overthinking—just live!

A Fish and the Man is about reaching a point in life where you know what you love, walk at your own pace, and arrive at a destination you’ve chosen for yourself.
In the end, every step we’ve taken has been our own choice.
